PLEASE VOTE FOR OPENBAND REFORM NOW!

  • Rating: No Rating

I have had some wonderful discussions with the residents of Lansdowne since I have been campaigning.  The most important thing one of you advised me to do was to get the community together on this OpenBand issue.  We lost our Stone Bridge High School, in that resident's opinion, because Ashburn Farm came together better as a community to stay in that school.  This person is correct.  If we expect to make the changes we want, we must come together as a community.

So, please, talk to your neighbors about voting for Nancy Abramson and I, Robin Crabtree, now.  The election is Tuesday and online ballots need to be in now as they will be counted on Saturday morning. www.lansdownehoa.com  Or call me and I'll bring you a paper ballot.  571-246-6178.

If every person who votes for us will talk to one or more neighbors and help the community come together, we will see the change we want much sooner.  It is going to happen, but I and Nancy are hoping you will give us the tools as board members to see it through sooner.

We are not going anywhere Lansdowne has CHOICE in their TV viewing, their phone and their internet.  By the way, Belmont pays roughly half what we pay(+ phone of their choice) for Verizon TV and Internet.  We pay $149 for all three and we don't get all the cool new bells and whistles.  We don't even get the 100mbps internet speed we are paying for, so why do we continue to pay for it?

Thank you for your gracious support.

Robin,

I hope that now we will see some movement on Openband. Clearly a 75 year contract, the cost, the lack of a county license, and the quality of the cable TV service are not good for Lansdowne residents. In 75 years, it is unlikely that landline telephone and cable TV will even be services! 50 years ago people needed ice delivered every day, aren't we glad we do not live in a community where the HOA had a 75 year deal for ice blocks! My suggestion is that the BOD negotiate to make cable TV optional, so people can reduce their HOA fees for services they do not want.
