The online meeting place and marketplace for Lansdowne, VA
Were you woken up last night at 3am by loud SIRENS! ?????
One of our members reports that in the early morning hours a group of "individuals" stole a Toyota Santa Fe (vehicle) and drove it wrecklessly through our neighborhood causing severe damange across multiple locations. Reports are that the incident was reported to Loudoun Sherrifs and the LCSO were on the spot chasing the vehicle. The vehicle actually drove down the WALKING PATH from Chartier toward Mill Dam - parallel to Red House (see Map Location: Partial Path of Vehicle )
The vehicle apparently
While LCSO *did* pursue the perpetrators, they somehow dumped the car (location unknown) and fled on foot.
They are still at large apparently.
Anyone with PHOTOS of any damange - feel free to post or send to

Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff's office:

This link shows the HYUNDAI SANTA FE photos for a 2010 model.(no confirmation of make/model)
Still no details on the vehicle.
We incorrectly stated that it was Toyota make.

An unknown person stole a car in the Town of Leesburg. The suspect then proceeded to drive the vehicle through yards and into other unoccupied vehicles in the Lansdowne Area. The vehicle was later found abandoned at the site of one of the crashes. At this time deputies are still on scene and canvassing the Lansdowne area looking for additional victims.
The mayhem ended on Lees Mill SQ, this is where the perpetrators crashed into a parked car in a driveway and then proceeded up Lees Mill where they crashed into an SUV in another driveway. The suspects then got out of their stolen vehicle and kicked the door in on the SUV they crashed into.
We are very surprised and shocked at the events that continue to plague this area. We moved to Lansdowne because it was considered safe and virtually crime free. Times have changed I guess.
Did the perpetrators hot-wire the car ....? If not, how did they get ahold of the keys ....?
HMMmmmmmmm .........
